Jonathon Tyler
Jonathon holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Physics from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and lectured in Statistical Error Methods, Vectors and Laws of Motion at Vista University Zwide Campus Physics Department in Port Elizabeth.
He started his career in financial markets in 1996 when he joined Alexander Forbes in the Actuarial Services division as an actuarial analyst, then moved to RMB Asset Management to develop structured products in 1998, and in late 1999 moved to local investment bank, Gensec Bank to work in Special Projects and Securitization until May 2001, when he joined Absa Bank as Chief Dealer Credit Derivatives.
Prior to the Barclays acquisition he was Head of Asset Trading for Absa Bank which comprised Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives Trading for Absa Bank. He then became an EXCO member of the Secondary Markets Trading Management Team at Absa Capital (affiliated with Barclays Capital) and was responsible for managing the structuring solutions for corporate and institutional clients as head of the Equity and Credit financing divisions
Jonathon has 20 years' experience in structuring and trading derivatives and founded a bespoke financial services boutique in 2009.
Presently based in the USA, Jonathon aims to leverage his experience and expertise in the renewable energy sector
Dr Andries van der Linde
Andries has a long and well publicized history in renewable and green energy sources and technologies and served in this capacity as a researcher, advisor and consultant to municipal councils, government departments, countries, multinational corporates, and the World Bank.
He is seen by some as the initiator of the wind energy industry in South Africa because of his role in the development of the first local commercial wind farm.
His Profile includes a number of local and international publications as well as the De Beer’s and Oppenheimer Awards. These awards resulted in a PhD scholarship at the University of Hertfordshire in Britain. To underpin this, he has extensive industrial experience which includes engineering design and project management and development.
Tochukwu Lewis-Asonye
Tochi is a financial and investment management professional based in Toronto, Ontario.
With over two decades of experience working in the financial services, resource and energy infrastructure industries, Tochi is adept at originating, evaluating and financing strategic opportunities in the renewable energy sector and is now keenly focused on frontier market opportunities.
Tochi holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Lagos and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Toronto CFA Society and became a CFA charter holder in 2009. With his strategic business relationships and leadership skills, Tochi is able to provide support in various capacities including corporate finance, risk management, asset allocation and capital raising processes. Tochi was born in Africa's largest city and country, Lagos, Nigeria, and currently makes his home in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
